Silicon nitride immersion heating tubes are suitable due to their high strength, high-temperature and thermal shock resistance as well as the advantageous wetting capacity towards aluminum or non-ferrous melts (for heating them up and/or keeping them warm in foundry technology).

Alternatively, silicon nitride-based heating tubes can also be used in heat treatment technology or chemical plant engineering. For example, they are used for heating strong acids or alkalis. The melt or liquid is heated without contact or contamination by a gas burner or resistance heater installed inside the immersion heater tube.

With the largest immersion heaters we manufacture, up to 80 kW of heating power per tube can be introduced into molten aluminum.
