High temperature and corrosion resistant

Ceramic gears can be used for a wide variety of applications where metallic or polymer materials reach their limits due to corrosion, abrasion and high temperatures.

 

High-temperature and corrosion-resistant gear pumps are used, for example, in chemical process engineering and special mechanical engineering. The low thermal expansion of silicon nitride and carbide makes it possible to achieve a constant flow rate at all times, even at high temperatures. The decisive reason for this is that the center distance and pump characteristic always remain the same in this case.

In foundry technology, on the other hand, silicon nitride gears can be used in metering and feed pumps for aluminum and non-ferrous metal melts.
