Components for powder technology.

Reduce cross-contamination with our ceramic components

In modern plants for grinding, blending, processing, and classifying powders, the aim is to produce an increasingly fine regrind with high purity at increasing throughput rates. In addition, a small scatter in the particle size distribution of the milled powder is expected.

The consequence is increasing power densities in the process and thus greater wear on the equipment. Increasingly, the manufacturer of such equipment is meeting these challenges through the use of ceramic structural elements.

Alumina and zirconia are wear-resistant materials that can be used to implement high power densities without contaminating the process. The hardness of the material itself contributes strongly to the grinding effect.

Examples of applications for molded parts:
  • Classifying wheels, nozzles and highly wear-resistant mill internals
  • Stirring elements of mills and mixers

Examples of applications for precision-fit linings:
  • Special lining of mills, mixers, cyclones, attritors and vessels depending on requirements with precision-fit, monolithic molded parts to reduce lining-related joints and gaps.
  • Precisely fitting lining with molded parts to protect the mill and the ground material from contamination.
